“How people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours.”
Wayne Dyer, Author and International Speaker
Do you suffer permanently from low self esteem?
Do you feel it holds you back from achieving what you want?
Does it impact negatively on your relationship or career choices?
Most people will suffer at some time with low self esteem, after a job loss, a divorce, a bereavement, even an innocent remark made inadvertently by someone can make you question your self-worth - this is a normal part of life. However, if these feelings persist or if you have experienced them throughout your life and feel that they are holding you back from reaching your potential, maybe it is time to seek help. Maybe you avoid certain situations or life opportunities because you fear failure, maybe you have got yourself into a negative thinking cycle which stops you from living your life to the full.
Counselling can help you build up your self image by exploring with you the underlying issues that are causing your low feelings of self-worth. Sometimes the negative thinking patterns have been set up in childhood, by exploring these issues with a counsellor you can gain insight and deeper self awareness, empowering you to make better life choices. Sometimes a life event or crises can make you lose your self esteem, counselling will enable you to gain clarity around the situation so that you gain a more positive outlook.
